Our Coaches

Coaching Style

Our individual and group sessions focus on the technical simplicities of the game where we believe is a lacking part of today’s game in the USA. We want to create a fundamentally sound player that will be confident with the ball at his or her feet in any situation.

Josh Spivack

Director of Coaching

After an elaborate playing career at the club, college, and professional level, Josh Spivack focused his attention entirely to coaching and training the game. There was no wasting time after his spell in Belgium, jumping right into the coaching mix at the collegiate level with Centenary College (NJ).

He has enjoyed coaching success at both the collegiate and club level recently. In 2013, as an assistant, he helped bring Centenary College their first ever Conference Championship and NCAA National Tournament berth. In 2014, his U18 Mount Olive Premier SC Gunners were ranked top 25 in the state of NJ.

This coaching success has only fueled the fire within and this is where Tactekks Soccer training was born. Always training his younger brother and Tactekks trainer, Joey Spivack, he thought he could bring the same success to the youth around the area. So far this has proven to be true.

Joey Spivack

Head Trainer/Owner

Joey started as a very promising youth talent in New Jersey and eventually the country. At a young age Joey was a part of some of the top teams in the country SSC Sharks and PDA Cruyff. At 12 years old, he  was offered and accepted  a position at the newly developed Metro Stars Academy, which a year later became what it is today, the New York Red Bulls.  Regarded as one of the best players in the country at this time,  Joey played for the Red Bulls Academy until 17 years old, leading them to National Tournaments and also was invited into the U-17 National Team camp.

Joey received many scholarship offers from many D1 colleges, but decided on St. John’s of Queens. However, after much thought and a once in a lifetime offer to play over seas, Joey decided to pursue professional ambitions in Belgium. This was the start of his professional career. Later he continued to play in England, Finland, and his last stop being in Iceland.

While in England, Joey realized a passion for coach and training youth players. He pursued his UEFA badges and received his Level 2. This passion has not stopped his pursuit in making great, confident, and educated players. His experience and expertise in all aspects of the game is truly something to admire for all current and prospective clients.
